This time I took about 2 months to make a new post though I admit I have no time for an active blog. Right now I’m dividing my free time between my personal projects and my thesis, but I already made plans to make this blog live for at least some more time…
In the meantime, I present you the 3rd wallpaper I made for a wallpaper collection I call “the sexy pack”.
much like the other wallpapers of the sexy pack series, I did them in very little time (it was more of an experiment rather than a real project…a Christmas present from last year for Luca & Marco) but because of this, I’ve decided to make the whole vector instead of just the line art as shown above.
As you see above, it’s a collage made out of a screenshot. I once saw a low resolution picture of the original artwork without the background but I never saw it again, and that’s why I decide to vector it in order to have a high resolution ver. of it. It makes no sense vectoring an image which already has a high resolution version available, in my opinion; though; if you want to modify colors or something more specific (as seen below) that cannot be done with photo editing software (”cutting-out” does not count, it can be done with photoshop), then vectoring can come in very handy. Overall, making the vector wasn’t hard…thank god I had the “creditless” version of the ED for making the screenshot.
After making the complete colored version of the vector, instead of fixing the old wallpaper I have decided on making a new one with a new design but I admit I wasn’t motivated when I realised that vectoring butterflies wasn’t going to be a fast job and I took longer than expected at finishing the job but I am glad I have decided to continue on making this wallpaper series…a “very girly” wallpaper series in my opinion. Not my best but still I want to share it in this blog.

Hey, nice blog, just looking around some blogs, seems a pretty nice platform you are using. I’m currently using Wordpress for a few of my sites but looking to change one of them over to a platform similar to yours as a trial run. Keep up the good work!
