It’s been an slow year regarding design this year. Ever since I began university courses here at Milan i’ve been busier than ever and that means I haven’t payed so much attention to my hobbies including vectoring, anime and design. Nevertheless, i’ve done some small works for luca & marco, the last one being last christmas: i’ve managed to finish 6 wallpapers which I call “the sexy pack”.

I didn’t had so much time in hand to do a better job in the wallpapers (as you can see in the details, it isn’t a vector but i’m planning in vectoring the original to fix this) but since it was a “christmas present” I managed to create some decent works which, I believe they got a good aproval by both luca & marco (yes, “sexy themes” are well recieved arround these parts).
After this project, I came out with an idea inspired in my last VxM post: it is already hard to find good design anime wallpapers in the internet, wallpapers that follow certain graphic rules (people forget that wallpapers aren’t poems or minimized versions of fanfics) and so, I decided to make this a small project of mine: to create design anime themed wallpapers specially made for those like me, who need good design anime wallpapers. Take a time to read this list of some good designing standards for wallpapers: link
As a sugestion by a posted in the last VxM post, I made the text look more as “part of the design”. I hope I did a good job, since I believe I am still a starter in the design world.
Last but not least, I vectored the image used for the wallpaper since like said before, I had small time and I did not vectored it first. Knowing how to vector well is always convinient concidering the size of images can sometimes be a barrier in designing (in this case, it is a direct screenshot I made out of the NC ED of Canvas 2). Also, I like the fact that vectoring should be used on images that are small in size or that have scarse quality, not on already good images such as 300 DPI HR images, which is useless since you already have a good $version of the image (why make a copy? vectoring is already a hard, time spending work…at least for those who don’t cheat with tracing tools such as Illustrator’s Live Trace). In the future, I would like to make a detailed, color ver. of the vector but like I said…when I have some free time.
