One day, after reading many design & anime blogs, I came up with an idea: why not make vectors + wallpapers and post them, just for fun? ^^; This is an ambitious idea, since I don’t have much time for myself and i’m also in the middle of creating my online portfolio, but I would like to see how it goes. The idea is to make a vector (actually, when i’m asked to make a vector as a favor) and then create a wallpaper with it. In this case, this is a vector I made for lulu’s twin brother, Marco, who asked me this favor. I hope he liked it :3 (continue reading after the break)

About the wallpaper: the main idea of making a wallpaper is not to make “something pretty”, you also have to respect certain design rules of which a great amount of people do not have in mind. IMO, I find a bit sickening the kind of wallpapers that:1-have sentences writen on them that aren’t related at all or don’t make sense (example: if this were that kind of wallpaper, something like “enchanting love” or “would you love me?” would be writen on top). A wallpaper does not have the function of being a poem or graffiti.2-unless it’s not an official wallpaper, it shouldn’t have writing containing the name of the game/show on it (it’s redundant).

I used to not care about the text. Some time ago, I got a bit more picky, though. It’s a pity, some walls look really good, but they just have that text on them…
hey, your wallpaper itself has your deviantart site on it! Can you make the text look more… uh… part of the design?
can you specify your question? I don’t understand.
Your Muv-Luv wallpaper has text on it. Nothing wrong about plugging your own site, but at least make it look like part of the vector design! It really stands out because of the really plain font…
well, on the last wallpapers I’ve done (not posted here or on deviant yet) I did somehow made them part of the design (once I finish exams, i’ll post them) but “plain text” regarding the site are just there to be “informative”, so I didn’t planned to make it part of the design. Therefore, in the future; when there is no need for my site to feature on wallpapers, i’ll take those off, because; a wallpaper is nicer without unnecesary text, in this case, plain site text.
